Ashtar is, for those of you who are unenlightened, the commander of earth. He lives in a spaceship in the fleet orbiting the earth. In the case of a catastrophe, like volcanoes or nuclear war, he will come, save us all, and then tip the earth upside down to remove all evil. We know this because of the Channelers.
